Sche’lang’en Crossroads Housing Program (SCH) Transformational Wrap-Around Housing
The Sche’lang’en Crossroads Homes (SCH) promote an environment of well-briety. The SCH are designed to assist enrolled members of the Lummi Nation who are either coming out of treatment or in need of a well-briety living environment. The SCH’s teachings are designed to accomplish several things. First, these teachings put into practice the tools taught by 12 step programs, the CARE office, MH Sessions, and Cultural teachings which assist a person in taking personal responsibility for their lives. Second, these teachings build on cooperation and teamwork found both in the workplace and in families. These teachings promote success in life and ignoring them may result in consequences like discharge from the SCH, the loss of a job, family, and one’s life. By respecting these teachings as a guideline for life one can strengthen their ability to live orderly and peaceful lives.
